Description

Sotalol is a non-selective inhibitor of β-adrenergic receptors that also inhibits Na+ and K+ channels. Sotalol acts as a class III anti-arrhythmic drug that also exhibits anti-fibrillatory activity. Sotalol is used clinically to treat ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. In vitro and in vivo, sotalol prolongs action potential duration, QT and PR intervals, and increases the effective refractory period. TEST!!!!!!
