This compound is a cysteine-isothiocyanate conjugate that exhibits antioxidative, cytoprotective, nephroprotective, and chemopreventive activities. In vivo, this compound decreases lung tumor formation induced by benzo[a]pyrene and NNK. Additionally, this isothiocyanate (ITC) increases expression and activity of heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) and decreases renal tissue apoptosis induced by cisplatin. Like other ITCs, this compound also acts as a phase II enzyme inducer. TEST!!!!!!
