Description

Neosolaniol is a type A trichothecene mycotoxin initially produced by species of Fusarium. Neosolaniol is typically found in grains used for livestock feed as well as human consumption, such as cereal and bread. Neosolaniol is mainly cytotoxic to dividing cells. In vitro, neosolaniol decreases erythrocyte counts and increases large platelet counts.
