KT 5720 is an inhibitor of PKA. KT5720 attenuates hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channel currents, decreasing amplitude and increasing action potential threshold. This inhibition results in decreases in intracellular Ca2+ levels and suppression of dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neuron excitability. This compound also inhibits PDK1 and may inhibit GSK-3, MEK, MSK1, and PKB.
