Doxorubicin is an anthracycline that exhibits anticancer chemotherapeutic and anti-parasitic, antimalarial activities. Doxorubicin is a DNA intercalator that inhibits topoisomerase II and is clinically used to treat various cancers; it is part of the CHOP and ABVD chemotherapy regimens.
