Description

Betulin-3-acetate is a pentacyclic triterpene. This compound exhibits antiviral activity and anticancer potential. Betulin-3-acetate is a close relative of betulin, which has anticancer, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activity. It inhibits replication of alphavirus and like betulin, likely induces apoptosis in cancer cells.
