Mitoxantrone is an anthracenedione that exhibits immunosuppressive and anticancer chemotherapeutic activities. Mitoxantrone is clinically used to treat multiple sclerosis (MS), breast cancer, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Mitoxantrone acts as an intercalator, cross-linking and forming complexes in DNA, inhibiting DNA synthesis; it also inhibits Pim-1 kinase. TEST!!!!!!
