Niflumic acid is a fenamate non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exhibits anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activities. Niflumic acid inhibits COX-2, Cl- channels, GABA-A receptors, and T-type Ca2+ channels; it also acts as an inverse agonist at NMDA receptors. In vitro, niflumic acid inhibits TNF-α- and IL-1β-induced activation of NF-κB and expression of iNOS and indirectly activates AMPK. TEST!!!!!!
